Brookelyn came home from school last week extremely excited because she had a surprise to show me. That day during a regular end of the month assembly at school she was given an award. She was so happy, she had no idea she was going to get this! Her teacher gave her an award for "Being quick to make friends at her new school & always respecting others!". This made me beyond excited and extremely proud of her.
This is her first year at this Central Spryfield Elementary & while we weren't really worried about whether Brookelyn would fit in (she is our social butterfly) we just wanted her to be as comfortable there as she was at her old school. She left behind a group of friends that she spent ALOT of time with during the school year and we just wanted her to have that again at her new school. I love that her school recognizes the little things that our children accomplish as well as the bigger things because sometimes its those little things that mean so much more to our kiddies then anything else!!
